I’m Prahaladh Gopalakrishnan, a student at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) and the founder and Executive Director of Ethos Sustainability, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting STEAM education and sustainable innovation. I’ve always been fascinated by the ways science and engineering can solve real-world problems, which led me to start and lead the TAMS Solar Car Team, where we design, build, and race solar-powered vehicles.
My research focuses on sustainable chemical processes, including computational studies of ammonia production, where I explore greener, low-energy alternatives to traditional industrial methods. Beyond research, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young people to engage with science, technology, and sustainability, helping them see how they can make an impact. I aim to bridge the gap between innovation and action, combining curiosity, teamwork, and creativity to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
