Kathryn Guerra is an environmental advocate who works with communities, organizations and policy makers to identify and implement collaborative solutions to complex environmental issues. She is chairwoman of the City of Dallas Environmental Commission, the community-led advisory body overseeing implementation of the city’s climate action plans.
Kathryn is the TCEQ Watchdog Campaign Director for the non-profit advocacy organization, Public Citizen. Before joining Public Citizen, Kathryn worked in local, state and federal government, including at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Environmental Assistance division and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Justice division. Kathryn is an experienced community organizer and has served in numerous other volunteer roles, including vice chair of the Dallas Sierra Club, a certified Texas Master Naturalist and a past member of the Junior League of Dallas.
