Alissa Peterson is a founder and the CEO of SeaAhead, a bluetech venture builder and investment platform accelerating the companies solving the ocean economy's most urgent challenges - from aquaculture and ocean intelligence to maritime decarbonization and coastal resilience. Under her leadership, SeaAhead has built a fully integrated platform of programs, capital, and a cultivated network that has helped program alumni raise over $75M in investment and grants. Prior to SeaAhead, Alissa held leadership roles at venture-backed startups NanoSteel and Primus Power, spanning business development, strategy, and product marketing. She began her career in McKinsey's Global Sustainability & Resource Productivity Practice and holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Civil Engineering from Duke.
