An award-winning writer and strategic communicator, Carole Douglis is board member and communications director for three key climate organizations: 

The Foundation for Climate Restoration (F4CR) is building public will to achieve pre-industrial CO2 levels by 2050 
The Climate Restoration Program is becoming the research and public-information hub for climate restoration solutions; and
DeepGreen Solutions is developing innovative, low-cost CO2 measurement systems, designed to accelerate the development of marine CO2-removal.  

She has published on energy and environment in Atlantic, World Watch, and Wilderness magazines as well as for the United Nations, USAID, and the National Geographic Society.  Her piece on climate and civilization inaugurated NatGeo’s exploration of climate change.
Carole has worked with Peter Fiekowsky since 2019 and co-wrote Climate Restoration: The Only Future that Will Sustain the Human Race.  A new edition of this foundational text is due out in 2026.
For over a decade, Douglis lived and worked in Africa. Her seven environmental policy documents for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), disguised as children’s storybooks, were translated into multiple  languages and lauded by environmental ministers as well as kids.
Apart from writing, Carole founded WIT, Washington Improv Theater and ran it for over a decade. It's now the region's the most innovative and longest-running improv theater company. 
She holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard University and an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in international relations.
