Benaye Wadkins Chambers is the President and CEO of Crossroads Community Services, where she leads the organization’s vision to build nutrition-stable communities and strengthen families across Southern Dallas County and beyond.
Over the past five years at Crossroads, Benaye has helped lead the organization into a new era of innovation and impact, including the launch of the first Nutrition Pharmacy of its kind in North Texas. Located in Southern Dallas County within a lifestyle hub alongside healthcare providers, the model reflects her vision for a future in which food access, health, and community support are more deeply connected. Through this work, she is helping redefine how families experience care, stability, and opportunity.
Before joining Crossroads, Benaye served as CEO of CONTACT Crisis Line and later as Chief Philanthropy Officer at St. Philip’s School & Community Center. During her time at St. Philip’s, she helped lead a historic $50 million capital campaign—the largest campaign south of Downtown Dallas—supporting the organization’s long-term growth and sustainability.
Benaye is an accomplished nonprofit executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership, fund development, and organizational capacity building. She is known for building high-performing teams, expanding impact, and developing leaders while keeping mission and community at the center of the work.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from the University of Dallas.
Benaye is deeply committed to advancing equity and opportunity, with a focus on children, health, and community well-being. She is especially passionate about mentoring and empowering women and girls.
She and her family reside in Southern Dallas County
