Oppong Hemeng is the Climate Action & Sustainability Senior Manager for the City of Dallas, responsible for overseeing the implementation of the city’s Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan. His work focuses on key areas such as environmental sustainability, air quality management, climate change, and renewable energy policy. Oppong has over ten years of experience in environmental, social, and governance practices across both the public and private sectors. He also serves as the City of Dallas Environmental Sustainability Lead for the FIFA 2026 World Cup. Oppong holds a graduate degree in Climate Change and Society from North Carolina State University, a master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Florida, and bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Houston.
