Colby Winzer is a principal specialty asset advisory specialist and executive director with Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth Management, leading specialty asset strategies for ultra-high net worth families and complex estates. Colby advises on diversified portfolios spanning real estate, minerals, renewable energy assets, and closely held business interests. 
Colby specializes in institutional-level due diligence, financial modeling, and risk assessment for asset acquisitions and dispositions. His work also includes structuring planning strategies around mineral rights, renewable energy, and water resource-related land use, reflecting a forward-looking perspective on energy transition and sustainability issues.
Before joining Wells Fargo Bank, Colby founded Sam Houston Land Company, advising on agricultural real estate and energy-oriented land assets. His 18+ years of experience span conservation easements, carbon markets, sustainable farming, and alternative energy development, supported by his background in a multigenerational agricultural family.
Colby is professionally affiliated as a member with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, GlobalAgInvesting, the American Association of Professional Landmen, and the Texas Bankers Association.
Colby received his Master of Arts from the University of Mississippi and his Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University.
